Norway: "Surprisingly strong price growth"

Consumer Price Index rose by 0.8% from January to February, up 2.5% from one year ago. Part of the increase was in food, result of an agreement made early last summer. But also clothes and furniture rose markedly. Money market interest rates are rising on the news, and the Norwegian currency (NOK) has strengthened marginally. (Source: NRK (Norwegian))

My comment: Why the surprise? That's what happens when there's a lot of money sloshing around among common people.
