Hair and suffocating feelings

I went to get a long overdue haircut. The shop I use is on the other side of the city, but luckily this is a small city. Anyway, while my hair was being cut I closed my eyes to not get hair in them, and almost fell asleep. After I got up and paid, I started walking back to the office. But before long I got this feeling that I was suffocating. That's strange because I have not had any respiratory problems lately. But it totally felt like I was breathing inside a plastic bag or something. Very unpleasant. I breathed in as deep as I could once or twice, and the feeling receded for a while, but I had to repeat it several times on my way back. I even walked up the two flights of stairs to my office, and if it were some kind of silent pneumonia I would not have been able to climb stairs. So it seems more like my brain is being tricked into thinking there is not enough oxygen. I am not sure if this is a software or hardware failure. Since I was on the verge of falling asleep there, maybe a circuit in my brain still is set to "sleep mode"? Anyway, unless I suddenly keel over dead, it is probably harmless. If it was an actual lung problem, it would get dramatically worse when I climbed stairs and stop when I stood still. On the other hand, if it were a panic attack, I would presumably be panicking now? Instead of just feeling a bit nervous.

On the bright side, I finally got the shaggy mane removed. If I had to be rushed to hospital with that hair I had, they would probably first test me for 5-10 popular drugs before checking anything else. It was quite uncivilized. My hair, once it passes a certain length, goes completely wild. No matter how much I comb it, it stays unkempt. And not in a sexy boyish way, more like a lawn where the birds have descended on a bountiful crop of larvae and hacked manically for days.

Anyway, my work for the day is done, I have logged out and am waiting for the next bus.
