Watch less, move more

How Less TV Changes Your Day (New York Times)
A study with control group (but disappointingly small sample) showed that overweight people moved more when their TV time was cut in half. They did however not eat less, as first expected. The extra calories burned were about 120 a day. However, they did not do this by actually exercising. They just moved their bodies more than before while going on with their lives.

My comment: People who voluntarily abstain from TV in whole or in part are likely to deviate much more from the average.
