Type, Computer

Who needs operating systems anyway?

I notice that, from which I bought my quad core back in November 2007, are now selling their corresponding models with no operating system as default. (This is the type of computer where you pick each component from a list, they build it and ship it.) Loudspeakers are included by default, operating system is not.

Norway: "Surprisingly strong price growth"

Consumer Price Index rose by 0.8% from January to February, up 2.5% from one year ago. Part of the increase was in food, result of an agreement made early last summer. But also clothes and furniture rose markedly. Money market interest rates are rising on the news, and the Norwegian currency (NOK) has strengthened marginally. (Source: NRK (Norwegian))

My comment: Why the surprise? That's what happens when there's a lot of money sloshing around among common people.
