Just say no to General Motors

Using tax money to bail out GM is little less than a crime. In these times, there are far more pressing needs to throw your money at. If GM should close down completely, that would simply mean that much more business for the other car makers. It is not like people will suddenly start walking or biking (more's the pity) if they can't get a new car from GM.
The reverse side is that if you prop up one auto maker at a time when demand goes down the drain, you are hurting the others. This means that a bit down the road, you will have to bail out them as well, all the while piling up unsold cars.
